This application lets you convert the most popular video formats to 3GP allowing you to reproduce them in your mobile phone. You will be able to convert MPEG to 3GP files decoding MPEG1, MPEG2 and MPEG4, convert AVI, Divx, Xvid, MPEG, WMV, ASF, RM, RMVB, SVCD, VCD, MOV to 3GP. It allows Batch conversion (multiple files) and shutdown computer automatically after the job is done.
Profiles ease the process by giving you the exact settings for your specific phone (profiles include Nokia, Motorolla, Samsung and Sony Ericsson phones). You can also define output audio volume, keep the original aspect ratio or resize movie to fit the mobile phone's monitor resolution.
If you have a mobile phone with support for 3GP video, and would like to carry and play some of the videos in the hard drive of your computer, this is an application you can use, it has a nice and well organized graphic interface with preview of source clips. I prefer tools with support for more output formats but if you only need to convert video files to play them on your phone, this one is enough.
